昔日文殊菩薩的化身米滂仁波切，於華珠仁波切座前聽聞《入菩薩行論》，僅只五日，便著成了著名的《智慧品釋 • 澄清寶珠論》。此論精要的辨析、駁斥了外內諸宗的偏執與錯失，圓滿的抉擇、開顯了「中觀應成派」究竟了義的無畏善說。
此論即是米滂仁波切為《入菩薩行論》中「第九品：智慧品」所著的釋文。此深入闡釋「智慧品」的方式，是以澄清的方式來解說，故《澄清寶珠論》亦如同澄清的寶珠一般，故此論之名為《澄清寶珠論》。
